Flight Dispatcher

Flight Dispatchers are employed throughout the entire scope of both commercial and military aviation.

However, while there is no exact job description, the following statement by the EUFALDA hits the proverbial nail squarely on the head:

“Aircraft Dispatchers are the best-kept secret of an airline.

Whether a flight can be performed – in operational and technical terms – depends on a number of factors:  wind, weather at destination and enroute, navigation aids and equipment, airport facilities, the aircraft’s technical condition and performance, fuel uplift needs and a lot more.  The aircraft dispatcher’s job is to coordinate all these variables to ensure that flight operation is conducted as safely and economically as possible.

Aircraft Dispatchers are the heart of an airline.  They are the main liaison to the crew.  He/she is the person authorized by the appropriate authorities or airlines to exercise Operation Control, Flight Planning, and Inflight Assistance.

Especially in Europe, the Aircraft Dispatcher also executes slot coordination between actual flights and Eurocontrol, i.e. the Central Flow Management Unit in Brussels.”

This is another area in which we work with various partners both Germany as well as Europe as a whole, the USA and the United Arab Emirates.

Should you be interested to train as a Flight Dispatcher we will be happy to put at your disposal our combined experience and our connections within this network.
