Internship Opportunities

Over the past few years we have closely collaborated with Berufsfoerderungsdienst der Bundeswehr (a department of the Bundeswehr charged with transitioning career soldiers into civilian occupations) in creating a type of hands-on apprenticeship culminating in the designation “Flight Dispatcher”.  Since its inception, a number of General Aviation companies have successfully applied this training course.

Scope of Training

The training course can be up to 24 months in duration, and is largely decided by prior training or its practical application during a student’s service in the Armed Forces.

At the start of the training course an aptitude test will be conducted to ascertain an applicant’s level of existing competence in the field.  This result in turn will be used to determine the final duration of the training course, which will cover the many varied aspects of the General Aviation:

  • Flight operations,
  • Ground operations,
  • Dispatch,
  • Crew scheduling
  • Controlling
  • Technical aspects,
  • Security and Human Resources

Training programmes will be developed and conducted with the specific needs of each company in mind.  This approach allows for both the trainee and the company to derive the greatest possible degree of success.

Internal Training Topics

  • Knowledge of publications pertaining to aviation

Training Cost

The cost for the Flight Dispatcher Training will be borne to a very part by the Berufsfoerderungsdienst of the Bundeswehr within the framework of Full-time Educational Measures.  This means that the incurred cost will not be a heavy burden on either the trainee or the employer.
